about us
our history
Hi! We are "art fair Rostock" - the new art fair for Rostock, Germany, in autumn 2026". It is our aim to bring a new, modern, cool,
contemporary art fair to Rostock, which is also social and fair, with prices every artist and visitor can affort.
We don't want that it's a privilege to be able to show your art and also to be able to see international art.
We see ourself as a social project and event, we are not a commercial event agency.
This orientation alone distinguishes us significantly from other art fairs.
We don't care if you studied art or painting or what ever or if you are self taughed artist,
we don't care if you have a gallery or if you are a one man show.
We only care about your passion of making art and maybe make the world a little bit better.
We care about your art, your passion, your story, your motivation to create art.
Take this chance and let us walk this way together, show your art to Rostock and show us what you have to say!
our credo
fair. social. lokal.

text for press
Rostock's artists Peggy Tassin (39) and Richard Barten (35) have made it their mission
to bring their own art fair to their hometown, the city of Rostock, in the northeast of Germany.
The two have been working on that project on a voluntary basis for over a year,
which is intended to benefit both, regional artists and the Hanseatic City of Rostock.
Their goal is to create a modern and financially fair opportunity for artists
(from Rostock, Germany and around the world) to exhibit their art.
Any artist aged 18 and over is welcome to apply. Further information about the project and
the application process are available on the art fair Rostock's website at
www.artfairrostock.com and on
Instagram at @art.fair.Rostock.
Peggy and Richard welcome every application, regardless where you come from, and look forward
to a fantastic first event in fall 2026, full of diversity and variety.
